The ARTBOX ENTERTAINMENT card set of the UNIVERSAL MONSTERS FRANKENSTEIN sold out within a month of it's release. Robert's Sketch cards are VERY hard to locate, with a number as LOW as 40 for the color Frankie half-face. The next sets to come your way are THE WOLF MAN and the CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Look for them late this fall/early winter.

Watch for two new releases from MONSTROUS MOVIE MUSIC. The original FILM SCORES to THE CLASSIC 50's sci fi film THE BLOB and Roger Corman's THE INTRUDER. The cover artwork by Robert captures the feel of each film. For the INTRUDER album......a stark black and white charcoal sketch. As for the BLOB........? The portrait of Tippi Hedren has been finished. The original work titled simply "TIPPI" measures well over 5 feet. Several images were used as reference, with the final work creating a NEW moment in time. I have always thought of Tippi as being of great spiritual beauty, this painting reminds me of mount Olympus, and Tippi of course, has befriended the Birds. Look for more news on this painting in the near future.

Robert decided to take some time away from the monster scene and convention circuit to focus on his fine art portraiture. robertaragon.com He has established himself in the fine art world and has returned to the world of Gods & Monsters.

Robert has been working with the giant ARTBOX ENTERTAINMENT on the NEW UNIVERSAL MONSTERS series of trading cards. First to be unleashed upon the world is FRANKENSTEIN. This set will include 72 card set, PROP cards, Film cards, and SKETCH cards. Robert is one of the few artists selected for the sketch card work. Robert's sketch work WILL be EXTREMELY limited and difficult to find. So, good luck. These will be released this fall. We will be posting pictures and information after the company does it's press release.

The legendary Actress Tippi Hedren and Robert are working together on a VERY special piece. This will be a full size Painting of Tippi for Robert's Exhibition shows. Painting will be finished by late fall.

Also In post Production is this years "Hallow's Eve" short film. Shot on ACTUAL film of course!
It's a black comedy of an Egyptian mummification process and burial.

Make sure you pick of the Newest issue of SCARY MONSTERS ..it's issue #59. Robert has joined Peter Schwotzer in creating a new series of beautiful tributes to the classic horror film and the world of Poetry. The series is titled..."the Poetry of..." Each month in the pages of Scary monster, allow the talents of writer Peter Schwotzer to paint a tapestry of terrors with an illustrated homage by Robert Aragon.
