What constitutes a work of art?

That is a question which I have yet to find a comfortable definition. Society and civilizations have placed definitions which many use to resolve the question of art. As for myself, I subscribe to the old phrase "art is never finished, it simply stopped at an interesting place".

I am not sure how interesting my work is. I find it difficult to objectively approach any of my emotions, and my work is simply remnants of very specific emotions. Each work represents an homage to a specific subject, an explicit moment. The work I accept for commercial purposes has never and can never be based on financial gain; I simply am not made of those fibers. My spark must be emotionally based...thus; here are samples of my emotional vocabulary via my artwork. Each an attempt to capture a celebration, with nods towards life, death and music.
